According to Hong Kong law and platform policy, the following items are strictly prohibited from trading on the CardBase platform. Violators will have listings removed, accounts suspended or terminated, and serious cases will be reported to the police.

Drugs and Dangerous Drugs

Strictly Prohibited

According to the Dangerous Drugs Ordinance (Cap. 134)

  • Heroin, cocaine, methamphetamine, ecstasy
  • Cannabis, cannabis products (including CBD products)

Weapons and Ammunition

Strictly Prohibited

According to the Firearms and Ammunition Ordinance (Cap. 238), Weapons Ordinance (Cap. 217)

  • Real guns (pistols, rifles, shotguns, etc.)
  • Air guns, BB guns (requires license)

Pirated and Infringing Goods

Strictly Prohibited

According to the Copyright Ordinance (Cap. 528), Trade Marks Ordinance (Cap. 559)

  • Pirated cards (fake cards, high-quality replicas)
  • Pirated games, software, movies, music, books

Tobacco and E-cigarettes

Completely Banned

According to the Smoking (Public Health) Ordinance (Cap. 371)

  • Cigarettes, cigars, tobacco, pipes (requires tobacco dealer license)
  • E-cigarettes (including heated tobacco) - Completely banned

Alcoholic Beverages

Completely Banned

According to the Dutiable Commodities Ordinance (Cap. 109)

  • Beer, wine, spirits (alcohol content >1.2%)
  • Spirits (whiskey, brandy, etc.)

Animals and Endangered Species

Strictly Prohibited

According to the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Ordinance (Cap. 169), Protection of Endangered Species Ordinance (Cap. 586)

  • Any live animals (cats, dogs, birds, fish, reptiles, etc.)
  • Ivory products, rhino horn products, pangolin scales

Pornographic Materials

Strictly Prohibited

According to the Control of Obscene and Indecent Articles Ordinance (Cap. 390)

  • Pornographic videos, images, books
  • Pornographic games, comics

Counterfeit Currency and Forged Documents

Strictly Prohibited

According to the Crimes Ordinance (Cap. 200), Forgery and Counterfeiting Ordinance

  • Fake HKD, fake RMB, fake USD, any counterfeit currency
  • Fake ID cards, fake passports, fake driver's licenses

Gambling Equipment

Requires License

According to the Gambling Ordinance (Cap. 148)

  • Slot machines, gambling machines, gambling tables (roulette, blackjack, etc.)
  • Cheating devices, gambling website accounts

Other Prohibited Items

Other items prohibited by law or platform policy

  • Dangerous chemicals (flammable and explosive materials, toxic chemicals, radioactive materials)
  • Prescription medical devices, implantable medical devices (pacemakers, etc.)

Allowed Trading

  • Authentic cards (Pokémon, MTG, Yu-Gi-Oh!, sports cards, etc.)
  • Graded cards (PSA, BGS, CGC, ARS, SGC, etc.)
  • Sealed boxes, booster packs
  • Card sleeves, card boxes, and other accessories

Prohibited Trading

  • Fake cards, high-quality replicas, pirated cards
  • Fake graded cards (fake PSA, fake BGS, etc.)
  • Fake autographed cards
  • Cards known to be counterfeit

Special Requirements

  • High-value cards (≥ HK$5,000) should provide authentication certificate
  • Graded cards must provide photos of grading company certificate
  • Autographed cards should provide proof of signature (COA)

How to Report

If you find prohibited items, report immediately:

Processing Flow

  1. 1.Receive report → Review within 24 hours
  2. 2.Confirm violation → Remove listing immediately
  3. 3.Serious violation → Suspend or terminate account
  4. 4.Criminal involvement → Report to police

Successful report of prohibited items → Earn platform points. Points can be redeemed for coupons

Yes, but must ensure phone is unlocked and personal data is cleared.
Can I sell custom-made cards?
Yes, but must not infringe copyright (e.g., using official images). Recommend labeling 'custom-made', 'unofficial'.
Can I sell out-of-print cards?
Yes, as long as they are authentic cards.
Can I sell opened booster packs?
Yes, but must state in description that it has been opened and list remaining cards.
Can I sell card proxy services?
Yes, but must explain risks and not guarantee results.
